Alupent: Storage Methods

Alupent should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. You should have an Alupent inhaler available at all times, especially if you have severe asthma attacks. Your Alupent inhaler should be cleaned regularly. Refer to the information that came with your Alupent inhaler for detailed instructions about how to clean the inhaler.
 
Keep Alupent and all other medications out of the reach of children.
 

Alupent: What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

Alupent is usually taken only when needed for an asthma attack. It is generally not taken on a regular basis.
 

Alupent Strengths

Alupent asthma inhalers are available in two sizes:
 
  • Alupent® Inhalation Aerosol, containing 200 inhalations, with 0.65 mg per inhalation
  • Alupent® Inhalation, containing 100 inhalations, with 0.65 mg per inhalation (this smaller size is used as a "sample").
     

Generic Alupent

Currently, there are no generic Alupent inhalers available. Even though all of the patents for Alupent have expired, no generic manufacturers have chosen to make generic Alupent inhalers.
