When to Avoid Arcapta

Who Should Not Use Arcapta?

You should not use Arcapta if you are allergic to it, indacaterol, or any of the inactive components used to make the medicine. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. Even though Arcapta is not approved for asthma treatment, it is sometimes used "off-label" for this purpose. Arcapta should never be used to treat asthma without being combined with a long-term asthma controller medication (such as an inhaled steroid).
