Factors Affecting Your Fluticasone HFA Dosage

The dose of fluticasone HFA your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
 
  • Your age
  • The severity of your asthma
  • Other medications you may be taking.
     
As always, do not adjust your fluticasone HFA dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Fluticasone HFA Side Effects

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with fluticasone HFA. However, not everyone who uses the inhaler will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate fluticasone HFA well. When side effects do occur with fluticasone HFA, in most cases they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
 
Common side effects of fluticasone HFA include but are not limited to:
 
  • Upper respiratory tract infections, such as the common cold
  • Headaches
  • Throat irritation
  • Sinus infections.
