Precautions and Warnings With Fluticasone HFA

Some precautions and warnings with fluticasone HFA to be aware of include potential drug interactions, the safety of taking fluticasone HFA while nursing, and people who should not take the drug (such as those who are allergic to fluticasone HFA or its inactive ingredients). Among the conditions you should let your healthcare provider know about prior to taking fluticasone HFA are eczema, glaucoma, and cataracts. It is also important that you always have a "rescue" medication on hand to treat an asthma attack, since fluticasone HFA inhalers are designed to prevent asthma attacks, not to treat them.
