Foradil Drug Interactions

Foradil drug interactions can occur when the medication is combined with beta blockers, certain diuretics, and some antidepressants. These can cause your body to metabolize the medications differently than intended and may cause dangerously low blood pressure, low potassium levels, or an irregular heart rhythm. If Foradil drug interactions are a concern, your healthcare provider may monitor you more closely or adjust your dosages.

An Overview of Foradil Drug Interactions

Foradil® (formoterol fumarate) can potentially interact with a few other medicines. Some of these medicines that may lead to Foradil drug interactions include:
 
  • Certain diuretics, such as:
  • Digoxin (Digitek®, Lanoxin®)
     
  • Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), including:
