Foradil® (formoterol fumarate) is a medication licensed to treat or prevent airway spasms in people with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The prescription drug works by opening up the airways to the lungs to help people breathe better. Foradil comes in capsule form and is inhaled using a Foradil Aerolizer®. The dosage that your healthcare provider prescribes will depend on whether you take Foradil on a regular basis or if you only take it when needed to prevent exercise-induced asthma.
