COPD Home > Brovana Drug Information

Brovana® (arformoterol tartrate) is used twice a day to prevent symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This prescription medicine is a long-acting bronchodilator that opens up the airways to make it easier to breathe. It is not taken as a "rescue" medication. Brovana is used in a nebulizer (a special device that changes liquid medications into fine droplets that are inhaled into the lungs), which means you will need to rent or buy a nebulizer in order to use it.
Prior to using Brovana, make sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on any other drugs you are taking, including nonprescription products and supplements, and any other medical conditions you have. This product is not suitable for everyone, and discussing these things with your healthcare provider can help him or her ensure that this is the best medicine for you.
(Click Brovana for more information about this COPD drug, including details about how it works, potential side effects, and other safety precautions.)
