Xopenex HFA Dosing

The dose of Xopenex HFA that your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
 
  • Whether you use Xopenex HFA to treat or prevent asthma attacks
  • The severity of your asthma or other respiratory problems
  • Other medications you may be taking.
     
As is always the case, do not adjust your Xopenex HFA dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Side Effects of Xopenex HFA

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Xopenex HFA. However, not everyone who uses the inhaler will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate the drug well. When Xopenex HFA side effects do occur, in most cases they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
 
Common side effects of Xopenex HFA include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Worsening asthma
  • Sore throat
  • Irritated or runny nose
  • Pain
  • Dizziness.
